I'm in 12th grade now. I wish I was completely finished though! I'd like to take an online Christian writing coarse as soon as I can. So what sort of extras do you take in school? And what would you like to do when you're done with school?

Now why would a cat want a cheeseburger? HeHe! Anyway, here's some snow for ya until I get some pictures taken!

HeHe! Sorry! I hope you don't mind my long comments too much! I guess I get kinda carried away sometimes. It's the writer in me. I'm the kind of person who writes super long letters and e-mails but doesn't have much to say when someone hands me a phone! That's me!
I'm actually not a really fast typer. I did take a teach-yourself computer typing course in ninth grade, and I think I made it to the advanced level. My typing is probably somewhere around fifty-some WPM too. I'll have to get back on that program and see. You've roused my curiosity!

Oh, by the way, I told you the other day that my neice's birthday is the same as Leo's but I was confused! Her birthday is December 2nd, not November 2nd. I can't believe it's actually tomorrow! Anyway, my bad!
Oh and also, I forget to tell you that we had our first snowfall of the season the other day! It was awesome. The day before it was rainy and everything was dead and ugly-looking, and when I woke up and looked out the window it was a winter wonderland! Absolutely picture perfect and amazingly beautiful! You actually made me appreciate snow a little more, thinking about how some people never get to see it. Maybe I'll take some pictures just for you!

Yeah, I figured you just mispelled it accidentally but I thought I'd point it out just in case. I don't think Toby calls his wife "Amany" though. I'm pretty sure it goes ". . . kiss my Mandy on the cheek" but it is easy to get words confused sometimes. Especially with his awesome southern accent! (Or maybe it's a Tennessee accent! ) There have been many times when I thought I knew all the lyrics to a certain song (not just with Toby's songs though), and then listening to it real close one day, I all of a sudden realized that they're saying something completely different that makes a lot more sense! And then there have been other times when I thought I was singing the words wrong, but when I looked at the lyrics, I had them right!
You have commented on Toby's looks and energy before and I totally agree! I actually think he's better looking now then he was when he was younger! It's like the older he gets, the better looking he gets! Have you seen pictures of him in like his teenage days? Man, he looked different! Not bad, but a lot different! He sounded a lot different too! When I got the first album from DC Talk and listened to it for the first time, I couldn't believe how different Toby sounded! It took me a little while to get used to it. Oh, have you seen the music video for Heavenbound? It's the first song on their first album and that shows ya how different Toby looked AND sounded way back in the day. I think he's come a long way in his walk with God too. (As should be expected.) And he sure is in terrific shape for his age! I think he does a lot of running and stuff. Doesn't it just make you mad when people joke about him being old? It drives me crazy! I'm extremely tempermental when it comes to people making fun of TobyMac! Even in a joking way. I always say something like, "Hey, that's my homeboy you're making fun of!" My Dad teases me a lot about TobyMac. (He likes to watch my reaction.) I thank God for the self-control that He has given me though. Most of the time I just hold my tongue and let myself cool down. (Or react in a humorous way.) Sometimes it's not even really a big deal, just a difference of opinion. Like if someone says they don't really like TobyMac that much (ahhhhhhhh, heart attack coming on!) or if they say another artist is a lot better than TobyMac (breath in, breath out). I just have to tell myself that everyone likes different things and it's nothing to get upset about. Besides, I'm kinda glad that not everyone likes TobyMac as much as me! It is cool to have other Toby freaks like you to talk to though! Then we can get all excited together!

Ok, now to respond to your comment. Yes I know about his kids, and I also know their birthdates! (You probably do too! ) Oh, but the twins' names are MOSES and Marlee, not Mandy and Marlee. "Mandy" is Toby's nickname for Amanda. Truett was born on Sep. 4th, 1998, Moses and Marlee were adopted in 2002 (I'm pretty sure that's when they were born too. Not sure on their exact birthdate. Do you know?), Leo's birthday is November 2nd (Hey, that's my neice's birthday! Only she'll be eleven and Leo will be four!), and Judah's is March 24th, 2006. One of the things I really admire about Toby is his dedication to family. No matter how much his work pulls him in other directions, he still makes time for his family and lets them and others know that he loves them deeply. I thought it was cool on Alive and Transported when he said that he called home almost everyday to talk to Amanda! I praise God for TobyMac and the amazing example that he sets! I also pray for him often, that God will continue to work through his music and give him strength to do God's will. Another of my favorite things about Toby is that he's so humble! It doesn't matter how many people talk about how great he is, he still points out others and what great work they do. And most importantly, he points out what God does. He knows that God is the One Who has made him who he is and he gives God the glory for everything. He shows what should be the one true desire of every Christian. . . to do God's will. To let God work through our life in order to bring others to know Him. Because we were made to love God and be loved by God! And that's what life is all about!

Hmmm, Toby's favorite color. . . that's an interesting question! I've wondered that myself sometimes! (I hope it's blue! ) Maybe he has a lot of favorites 'cause he likes diversity! Just jokin'! We three Toby geeks will have to figure that one out!

tobymacmadness November 30, 2008 @ 01:44 PM

what tobys fav color?

amanda1991 November 28, 2008 @ 07:47 PM

Yeah, I knew that's where Amanda was from! (That's one of the reasons why I thought it was so cool! ) We are fellow Toby experts my friend! She does have a really cool accent! Have you seen the DVD for Free At Last? They interview her on there, asking her how she met Toby and everything. It's really cool. It is kinda wierd that you would try to get people mad at you just to hear their accent. I'm sure there's a better way to do it! I can just see you doing something ornery and then trying to keep from bursting out laughing as they're scolding you! HeHe! That's hilarious!

Wow, you lived in Jamaica?! Cool! What's it like over there? I've never been outside of the United States. Actually, I've hardly been out of Iowa! HaHa! I almost asked you if you'd ever seen snow before! Do you ever miss seeing snow or do you prefer the warm weather? I don't mind the look of snow (I think it's really beautiful) but I sure don't like the cold! I think I'd be just fine if it just snowed a little around Christmas time and was spring-like for the rest of the year! Winters just seem to last FOREVER! But oh well. I won't complain! I guess I should thank God that I have the priveledge of seeing a beautiful part of His creation that not everyone is able to enjoy. So does it get very cold in Florida in the winter time or does it stay pretty nice all year round?
Well, hope you have fun in DC! (And maybe you will get to see some snow! )
